The Pioneers dropped a 6-2 decision to Evangel and were eliminated from the conference tournament on Thursday. The Crusaders took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth on a 2-out 2-run double and never looked back. The Pioneers cut the lead in half in the bottom of the fourth when Cody Fuqua's single brought home Kirk Nungester, but 4 Evangel runs in the fifth put the game away. MNU couldn't get anything going offensively and the season ended with two losses in the double elimination tournament. AJ Nunley (3-3, R, 2B, BB) had 3 of MNU's 7 hits.

The Pioneers finish 22-24 (15-13 HAAC). It was their third straight 20-win season and 15 victories is the most conference wins in school history.
