The Pioneers fell in the first game of the HAAC Conference Tournament on Wednesday. MNU took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Kyle Segraves and Ben Alison started the game with singles. After a wild pitch, Jarid Renzelman's sacrifice fly gave the Pioneers the lead. The lead was short-lived, however, as Lindenwood put up 6 runs on 5 hits in the bottom of the second. MNU answered with a single run in the third, but that's as close as they got and Lindenwood put up 3 in the fifth and seventh to win via the 10-run rule. Josh Greer (2-3, 2B, RBI) and Cody Fuqua (2-3) had 2 hits apiece.
The Pioneers (22-23, 15-13) will face Evangel (17-29, 11-17) in an elimination game on Thursday at noon.
