Babinski wins 153 & 154th games in his career
Olathe, KS - MNU Softball Coach Steve Babinski became the winningest Head Softball Coach in MNU history with the Game 1 win against Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO on Friday.  Babinski's squad won the game 4-0 and captured the 153rd game of his career and won his 154th by overpowering CSC 2-0 in the nightcap. The previous record was held by MNU Coach Krystal Kennard who compiled a 152-156 record through 6 years. Babinski to date is 154-118 in just over 5 years. "It has been my honor to serve MidAmerica Nazarene University as its Head Softball Coach these years and want to praise my Lord and Savior for everything He has given me. These wins are His and I will continue to coach with excellence, passion, and commitment as long as God will allow me. He has directed my path so clearly to coach and I give Him all the praise," says Babinski about accomplishing this monumental feat. "MNU is a very special place to be at where softball is much more than simply wins and losses. God has called me to coach softball but teach life through His eyes. The wins are great and are a direct result of the wonderful things God has been doing these past years through the diferent teams.  Each of these teams owns a piece of this record. It is all of ours."

Babinski, a Bradley, IL native, began his coaching career at NAIA Grace College (IN) after a very successful career in college baseball. He spent a Fall semester coaching baseball as an assistant before making the transition to the softball diamond where he took on an assistant coaching job for the Spring Semester. He then became an assistant coach for the NCAA DI Bowling Green State University Falcons (OH). At BGSU, Babinski helped the Falcons gain a MAC title and advanced to Rgionals at the University of Michigan. Babinski was hired as MNU's 5th Head Softball Coach since the program was reinstated in 1995. Prior to Babinski's tenure the overall school's record was 208-259 (.445%).  Babinski's record 154-118 (.556%) places him with the most wins of any Head Softball Coach in MNU history. Congratulations Coach Babinski.
