Bethany Rexroth's 27 points and 14 rebounds led the Pioneers in an 85-63 victory over Missouri Valley on Saturday. The senior has been on fire lately as she scored a career-high 32 points on Thursday, giving her an average of 29.5 on 73% shooting and 11-11 free throws for the week. The Pioneers built a 10-point lead with 7 minutes remaining in the first half and never looked back. The double digit lead was maintained for most of the second half, and MNU cruised to victory while shooting 53% from the floor and holding MVC to 37%.
"We're hitting our stride," said Coach Olin. "The addition of point guard Beth Keeley at semester has us flowing a lot better and we're starting to get a good offensive rhythm."
Rexroth had 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Beth Keeley had a game-high 9 assists and 4 steals. Hadleigh Meek reached double figures with 12 points and added 5 rebounds. And Heather Cunard had 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Pioneers are 7-7 (2-2 HAAC). The next game is at Central Methodist (6-7, 0-3) on Monday at 5:30.
